All 6th grade students received an enrollment form for band/orchestra today. If your student is interested, please fill out the permission slip and return to school. Instrument tryouts will be conducted during school hours this week.
This is the ONLY time that students can sign up to play instruments. We don’t start students later this year or in the 7th or 8th grade.
The music programs are divided into two classes:
BAND CLASS instruments are the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba and percussion (snare drum, xylophone)
ORCHESTRA CLASS instruments are the violin, viola, cello, and the bass.
CHORUS CLASS is a non-auditioned group that is open to all interested 6th grade students.
