Vision of the STEAM Symposium:
Celebrating Student STEAM Products with the Community
Description of the STEAM Symposium:
Imagine walking into a high-energy museum, receiving a program that directs the guest with a schedule and description of events that he/she can use to determine which areas to explore. In each area there will be various STEAM projects that have met a checklist of 4 criteria assessed by their teacher to insure that it is a high level product that displays connections between many subjects while also demonstrating practical applications to the real world. There will be students (9th-12th) from all types of classes displayed in multiple ways throughout Wheeler High School. Some rooms will be on a scheduled format where guests enter certain times (ie: every 10-15 minutes) so not to disrupt the student presentations. Other projects are displayed by the student with free entry/exit of guests at their pleasure. The program will have the schedule and description of these displays so guests can decide what projects they want to visit.
